The Friends sponsor and/or participate in the following events or activities...
Friends of the Rosenberg Library Annual Used Book Sale ▼ Traditionally held the first full weekend in October for three days. ▼ Members Preview Night ▼ Followed by two days open to the public. ▼ Members get first choice in the selection of books, CDs, DVDs, and other items that may be offered for sale.
Gently used books are for sale to the public in the Friends Book Shop on the Library's 2nd Floor, the Galveston's Farmer's Market, Amazon.com, and for members only via Friends Book Shop Online.
Book Purchases from the Library – All proceeds from the Annual Used Book Sale and the Friends’ Book Shop are donated to the Library’s circulating books collection.
Galveston and Texas History Center – funds to purchase chairs in the reading room and rebind volumes.
Rosenberg Library Museum – support of special projects, opening events, and publicity ventures.
Children’s Department – activities such as Summer Reading Club and various programs held throughout the community, holiday activities, and group outreach story times.
Children’s Book Project – provided new or gently used books to children at UTMB Hospital.
Library Interior Furnishings and Landscaping Hosting Book Signings and Staff Presentations
