THE FRIENDS REQUEST BOOK DONATIONS
The Friends of the Rosenberg Library hold a yearly sale of used books as well as maintain the Friends’ Book Shop, an on-going book sale that brings in an average of $1,000 a month: profits from all sales are dedicated to circulating materials such as books, CDs, DVDs, etc. We rely on the generosity of our friends in the community to supply us with gently used books for both sales, but most especially for the Book Shop.
The Book Shop inventory is running low. We are in need of books of all sorts, fiction and non-fiction, hardback and paperback. We ask that the books be in good, clean, readable condition (think - “nearly new”) and that they be, if non-fiction, up to date. We are grateful for audio books, music CDs and DVDs. We cannot accept cassette tapes, video tapes, record albums or magazines.
If you have less than 8 books to donate you may pack them in a bag; however, if you have more than 8 books to donate, please put them in a box for delivery. Bring your donation to the double doors in the alley behind the library. When you arrive at the library, please call 763-8854 and a member of the staff will unload the books.
Last year the Friends Annual Used Book Sale and Book Shop earnings totaled $25,000. With your generous support we will better that figure in 2012.
